CHOOSE BY ROLE, NOT AN UNVERIFIED RANKING

Eight ways to enter the global launch

This AION 2 classes hub gives each confirmed global launch class one clear place without pretending that pre-launch evidence can support a full tier list. Official NC material provides broad role descriptions for all eight slots, and the global pages confirm the launch count. Complete weapon tables, skill coefficients, endgame builds, and comparative balance are not yet verified for the global client, so every card separates a supported role summary from those unknowns.

Use the collection to narrow your choice by combat distance, party responsibility, and the kind of decision-making you enjoy. The artwork on each card is local official Steam media used for atmosphere; it does not claim to portray the named class. Every card links to a section on this same page and returns a normal 200 response, preserving the page matrix instead of manufacturing eight unsupported class routes.

How to Choose an AION 2 Class

Start with responsibility rather than a predicted damage chart. Templar is the only class directly identified by NC as the core tanking role, while Chanter is described as versatile multiplayer support and Cleric combines support identity with improved damage capability. Those labels are durable enough to guide an initial shortlist without inventing exact party compositions.

Players who prefer direct offense can next choose between melee precision, broad melee pressure, ranged scouting, burst magic, or a solo-oriented magic profile. Assassin, Gladiator, Ranger, Sorcerer, and Spiritmaster map to those official descriptions respectively. That is a role comparison, not a declaration that one class wins in PvE or PvP.

Controls, latency, encounter design, group demand, and balance patches can all change how a role feels. The global client has not yet supplied the comparable evidence needed for a credible best-class answer. A choice based on a supported playstyle is therefore safer than a launch ranking copied from a different regional version.

01 · MELEE

Gladiator

NC’s official overview characterizes Gladiator through powerful, wide-area skill attacks. That supports a broad-pressure melee identity, but it does not establish a global damage ranking, weapon list, or ideal build. Players attracted to engaging multiple targets can keep Gladiator on the shortlist while waiting for launch-client details.

02 · TANK

Templar

Templar is the core tanking role in NC’s published class summary. The label indicates party responsibility more clearly than any other pre-launch class description, yet exact threat tools, defensive cooldowns, and encounter demand remain unverified globally. Choose it for the tank role itself, not for an assumed queue bonus or guaranteed meta position.

03 · MELEE

Assassin

Assassin is described as a precision-based melee specialist. Precision suggests a more exacting offensive identity than Gladiator’s area emphasis, but the official wording does not disclose rotations, position rules, or difficulty. Until the global build can be tested, those practical details must remain TBD rather than being borrowed from the original AION.

04 · RANGED

Ranger

The current global launch list uses Ranger, while an earlier NC English article called the long-range scout class Marksman. The project treats that as a localization history, not a ninth class or a separate specialization. Ranger is the current page label, and its full official global weapon table is still awaiting publication.

05 · MAGIC

Sorcerer

NC identifies Sorcerer with high burst magic damage. That is enough to distinguish its broad offensive profile, but not enough to promise the strongest burst in every launch encounter. Spell lists, resource rules, cast behavior, and balance values require global-client evidence before this wiki will state them as fact.

06 · MAGIC

Spiritmaster

Spiritmaster is described as optimized for solo play in the official class material. An older English update used Elementalist for this slot, and the naming difference is treated as historical localization rather than additional roster content. The exact systems behind its solo orientation are not expanded beyond the official summary here.

07 · SUPPORT

Cleric

NC notes that Cleric now has improved damage capabilities while retaining its recognizable support context. The wording suggests players need not read the class as support-only, but it does not quantify healing, damage, or party demand. A global PvE or PvP verdict will require version-labeled testing after access begins.

08 · SUPPORT

Chanter

Chanter is officially presented as a versatile support role with multiplayer utility. That makes it a natural consideration for players who enjoy enabling a group, yet the exact buffs, ranges, stacking rules, and solo performance are not confirmed in the collected global evidence. No specific build is recommended before those mechanics can be verified.

Ranger, Marksman, Spiritmaster, and Elementalist

Official English materials have not used class names consistently across every publication date. The current global list uses Ranger and Spiritmaster, while earlier NC English articles used Marksman and Elementalist for those corresponding slots. This page follows the current launch-facing names and records the older labels only to prevent duplicate-class confusion.

Naming history is not evidence of a redesign, class split, or extra launch slot. The official launch count remains eight. If the English client changes a label at test or launch, the card title and relevant note can be updated without altering the page’s keyword intent.

Is Brawler a Global Launch Class?

No official source collected for this project confirms Brawler in the eight-class global launch lineup. NC added Brawler, a Gauntlets class, to the already operating Korean and Taiwanese version in the July 2026 Chapter 1 update. That regional addition raises the live roster there to nine but must not be imported into the global launch list.

The responsible status is “not confirmed for global launch,” not “never coming globally.” NC may announce a later schedule, but no date is available in the verified material. This page keeps a pending field ready for that future announcement instead of speculating from the regional patch.

Official Class Video

The collected official gameplay spotlight is embedded below as class media. The video was accessible, but its player did not provide readable captions during collection, so no class mechanic is quoted from a presumed transcript. All written role claims on this page come from official text sources rather than visual inference.

What the Class Hub Will Not Guess

The global weapon table, complete skills, builds, coefficients, and balance rankings are unresolved. The class tier page exists separately because a ranking answers a different search intent and requires versioned comparison data. This overview will not smuggle a tier list into role descriptions before the evidence exists.

Each update should keep current names, source dates, and regional boundaries visible. Korean or Taiwanese live-version findings may be labeled as regional context, but they cannot silently become global launch facts. That rule is especially important for Brawler and any level, Stigma, or equipment data introduced after the regional release.
